Mordechai Maisel
Mordechai Maisel became a very significant personality in the time of renaissance. His influence affected also a court of the emperor Rudolf II. As a very rich person, Mordechai Maisel enabled a construction of very important buildings in the Jewish Town, i.e. schools, hospitals, and poorhouses. At those times, we can say that Jews experienced relatively good living conditions. It was not only a time of this man, also a famous rabbi Jehuda Löw ben Bezael, a teacher and writer, used his powerful influence to improve the situation of Jews. He is supposed to be a modern “Frankenstein” because he is said to give a live to an artificial human – Golem.
