Legends versus facts

Opinions on how Prague originated differs with each person you ask. Whether it is a chronicler, expert, or an ordinary man. No one can be absolutely sure about what is really true. After all, in every legend there is a real part in it so what if it really happened and the legend is telling the truth? You all surely know these legends – about the duchess Libuše and her prophesy at the peak of Vyšehrad; about lowly Přemysl the ploughman who became the founder of the whole governing dynasty. This is a legend – no one can prove it is or is not a true; no one had lived at those days. However the fact is that someone bearing such name had to exist because eleven centuries ago there suddenly appeared the dynasty of Premyslid, who took the control over the whole country.
