First members of the Premyslid dynasty
With the arrival of the governing dynasty, there moved in a life to the deserted area under the rock above the Vltava River. As a magnet attracting ferrous parts the area began to be occupied by peasants, farmers, artisans, servants, or locals and also merchants from far away. The place revived. First small settlements saw the light of day, weddings and betrothals guaranteed the rising amount of inhabitants. Bořivoj was considered to be the first member of the Premyslid dynasty. When Bořivoj saw the advantageousness of the place supported by the rock he came to a conclusion that it would not be a bad idea to build a fortified fort there. And as Bořivoj said he performed. He surrounded the fort with earthen bulwark and built a prince’s residence with buildings for servants.
Not a long time after Bořivoj had settled down there with his accompaniment, a huge marketplace full of life arose near the bulwark. As the time flew, the marketplace became larger and larger and shifted away from the bulwark until it finally found a place at the opposite bank of the Vltava River. Many nations of the world were attracted to visit this place. It was not just an opportunity to advantageously trade with goods people here do not know, but also a chance to finally settle down somewhere.
Merchants coming from foreign countries came here and built houses; it was very boring for them to plot every day from one city to another and try luck. Here they have some certainty they sell their goods with some profit and also purchase stocks they need. However not only merchants were lured in this place near the Vltava River, Jewish, German and also Roman inhabitants and businessmen came here as well and they really prospered here.
